Vancouver

What a surprise.

We loved it — incredible nature, a slower pace of life, and moments that felt quietly familiar. In parts, it reminded us of Hong Kong — especially the food. Some of the best Cantonese we’ve had — even better than New York, and the best outside China (photos to follow). Not by design, but by presence. It’s also home to the largest Cantonese population outside China, which clearly shows in the food culture. The scene is excellent, and we had some of the best sushi we’ve eaten outside Tokyo.

A true bike city — we spent days riding through neighborhoods, past totem poles, beaches full of summer life, and into nature that feels effortlessly woven into the city. It just has the vibe. Cool.

It’s the kind of place that makes you think about staying.
Often ranked among the most livable cities in the world — not my words, just the stats.

No wonder so many directors like to film here.
